What is Caterer Manager?
Caterer Manager (CM) is all-in-one online software for catering businesses. It brings online ordering, proposals, kitchen production, delivery, invoicing, reporting and a CRM together in one platform, with no double entry. It is published by Gestion-Traiteur.com Inc., based in Québec.
How long has CM been around?
For over 15 years. GT1 launched over 15 years ago, GT2 in 2018, and CM3 has been available since May 2026.
Who is CM for?
Caterers of every size: events, corporate, daycares and schools, convention centres, universities, restaurant-caterers, hotels and central kitchens, in Canada and France.
Is CM for off-site caterers, or only venues?
Both. CM handles deliveries and off-site events as well as your own rooms and venues.
I’m just starting out and still use pen and paper. Is CM for me?
Yes. Starting with the right tools saves you from restructuring later. The Essentiel plan is designed for small teams.
Can CM handle several locations or brands?
Yes. Several organizations under one roof, each with its own logo, taxes and reports, and several storefronts feeding one production.
What is a BEO?
A BEO (Banquet Event Order) gathers everything about an event: menu, guest count, schedule, room, equipment and instructions. CM generates it from the event record. A free template is available in our resources.
Using CM
Do I need to install anything?
No. CM runs in your browser on desktop, tablet and mobile.
Can I use CM on mobile?
Yes. CM runs on desktop, tablet and mobile, in light or dark mode. GT-Photo is available on iOS and Android. GT-APP, GT-Delivery, GT-Print and GT-Inventory are coming soon.
Will my kitchen team manage to use it?
Yes. The kitchen gets clear instructions, generated from confirmed orders, on paper or on screen.
Can my team work in their own language?
Yes. CM is bilingual: the interface is available in French and English.
Do you use artificial intelligence?
Not yet in CM. We are evaluating concrete uses for our clients and will announce the first features on the What’s new page.
How do I give my accountant access?
Add them as a user. Their access counts as a seat.
Can I connect my accounting?
QuickBooks Online is integrated from Professionnel. CSV export for others.
Are there training videos and documentation?
Our online help centre, with search, is kept up to date. Onboarding training is optional and quoted separately.
Can I suggest an idea or an integration?
Yes. A secure portal, open to every user, lets you suggest improvements and vote on upcoming features.
How secure is my data?
Encrypted connections, two-factor authentication and role-based permissions. Details are in our privacy policy.
Is my data hosted in Canada?
Yes. All clients’ data, Canadian and French, is hosted in Canada, in a Toronto data centre.
Subscription and support
How long does migration take?
1 to 3 weeks depending on volume. Our onboarding service imports your clients, products and history. Optional, quoted separately.
What support is included?
For everyone: online tickets with a reply as soon as possible, and a help centre. Dedicated manager on Entreprise.
Do updates cost extra?
No. Updates are seamless and free, with nothing to install. A secure portal lets every user vote on upcoming features.
Is there a commitment?
No. You can cancel at any time. A monthly subscription ends one month after your cancellation notice. A yearly subscription, paid in advance, is non-refundable, but you can avoid its renewal by notifying us at least one month before it expires. Adjust your users anytime.
