What is an SRS, and where is Revenu Québec’s list?
An SRS (sales recording system) is software or a device certified by Revenu Québec to transmit sales to the WEB-SRM. Revenu Québec publishes the list of certified SRSs for the restaurant sector on its website. Colossale POS is on it; Caterer Manager integrates with it.
Does mandatory billing apply to caterers in Québec?
Yes, when the caterer supplies meals for immediate consumption: delivered lunch boxes, banquets with service, counter sales. Revenu Québec explicitly lists businesses offering catering services among restaurant establishments. Packaged products for later consumption are generally not covered. Your accountant confirms what applies to you.
Does the WEB-SRM apply to a restaurant that also caters?
Yes. Dining-room sales and catering sales go through the same SRS. With CM and Colossale POS, catering orders, events and the counter are transmitted together, with no double entry.
Do I need to buy a Colossale terminal?
No. The Colossale WEB-SRM module works within CM. The Colossale POS installs on a desktop or laptop computer. A physical POS remains an option for counter sales.
How much does it cost?

What about my online sales?
Orders from your CM store are transmitted the same way, automatically.
What exactly does the Colossale WEB-SRM module do in CM?
CM produces the bill from the event or the online order. The module transmits it to Revenu Québec through Colossale POS and retrieves the transaction number; the CM bill carries the required mention and QR code. You handle nothing.
Is CM an SRS-certified catering software? Does it replace my POS?
No catering software is itself a sales recording system. WEB-SRM compliance comes from the SRS certified by Revenu Québec. CM is not an SRS: it integrates with Colossale POS, which transmits your sales. Your WEB-SRM-compatible POS stays in place if you have one.
