Privacy policy

How Gestion-Traiteur.com Inc. collects, uses, protects and shares your personal information.

  • Version 3.0
  • Effective: October 26, 2026
  • Replaces version 2.0 of September 21, 2022

1Who we are

Gestion-Traiteur.com Inc. (“Gestion-Traiteur”, “we”) is a Québec company that publishes GT, a management platform for caterers. This policy applies to all our services (the “Services”):

  • the caterermanager.com and gestiontraiteur.com websites and the client area for managing your subscription;
  • the GT platform (g-t.app) and the online ordering stores of our clients that it hosts;
  • our mobile apps, including GT-Photo (iOS and Android);
  • our communications: emails, newsletter, support and demos.

2Person in charge of the protection of personal information

In accordance with Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), our person in charge of the protection of personal information is Sylvain Dupont, President. He also acts as data protection officer (DPO) under the GDPR for our clients and users in the European Union. You can reach him at info@gestion-traiteur.com for any question or request about your information.

3Two roles depending on the service

On our website, in the client area and for our communications, Gestion-Traiteur is responsible for processing your information.

In the GT platform, our caterer clients enter information about their own customers (orders, delivery addresses, declared allergies, etc.). For this data, the caterer is the controller and Gestion-Traiteur acts as processor: we process it only to provide the Service, according to the caterer’s instructions. Any request about this data should first be sent to the caterer concerned.

4Information we collect

We collect only the information needed for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Identification and contact details: first and last name, email, phone, company, address.
  • Account and subscription: plan, number of users, modules, billing history. Payment card data is processed directly by Stripe; we do not store it.
  • Sign-in with Google, Microsoft or Apple: if you choose this option, we receive your name, email address and an account identifier. We do not access your emails, files or contacts unless you enable a specific integration (for example Google Calendar or OneDrive), and only for the functions of that integration. Our use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
  • Forms, appointments and chat: what you send us through our forms (contact, support, careers with your résumé, newsletter, calculators), the appointments you book and your chat conversations.
  • Mobile apps: photos you take and voluntarily upload in GT-Photo, device identifier for notifications. The camera is used only when you choose to use it.
  • Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, date and time, technical and security logs.

5How we use information

We use your information to:

  • provide, maintain and secure the Services;
  • create and manage your account, subscription and billing;
  • answer your support requests and schedule demos;
  • follow up on your requests in our customer relationship management tool;
  • inform you of changes to the Services;
  • analyze use of the Services in order to improve them;
  • send you our newsletter or offers, if you have consented. Every message includes an unsubscribe link.

6Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies (session, security, language preference, remembering your cookie choices) required for the Services to work. Other cookies are activated only after your consent, by category: analytics (Google Analytics 4), advertising (Google Ads, Meta Pixel) and chat (Zoho SalesIQ). Your choice is kept for 6 months, after which we ask again; you can change it at any time from the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page. Services that you open yourself within a page, such as the appointment calendar (Calendly) or the support form (Zoho), may set the cookies they need to work. You can also manage personalized advertising in Google’s ad settings (adssettings.google.com) and Meta’s settings, or at youradchoices.ca.

7Legal bases (GDPR)

If you reside in the European Economic Area, we process your personal data on one of the following bases:

  • performance of a contract with you or your company;
  • your consent, which you can withdraw at any time;
  • our legitimate interest in securing and improving the Services, where your rights do not override it;
  • compliance with a legal obligation, including tax and accounting obligations.

8Service providers and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us deliver the Services and are contractually bound to confidentiality and security obligations, and in the cases provided for by law:

  • Stripe: subscription payment and billing;
  • hosting: DigitalOcean (Toronto, Canada data centre);
  • website email delivery: Mailgun;
  • forms, customer relationship management, newsletter and chat: Zoho (Zoho Forms, Zoho CRM, Zoho Campaigns, Zoho SalesIQ);
  • appointment booking: Calendly;
  • analytics and advertising, with your consent: Google, Meta;
  • public authorities, where required by law, for example under a court order;
  • in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets: the acquirer, so that the Services can continue, after notifying you.

9Hosting and transfers outside Québec

The GT platform data of all our clients, Canadian and European, as well as the website, is hosted in Canada, in a Toronto data centre. Some service providers, however, process information outside Québec and Canada, including in the United States: Zoho (forms, customer relationship management, newsletter, chat), Mailgun (email), Calendly (appointments), Stripe (payment), and Google and Meta (analytics and advertising, with your consent). Before any transfer, we assess the level of protection offered, as required by Law 25, and govern the transfer by contract. For data coming from the European Union, Canada is covered by a European Commission adequacy decision; transfers to the United States rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or otherwise on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

10Retention

We keep your information for the duration of your relationship with us, then for as long as needed to meet our legal obligations (including tax and accounting) and resolve any disputes. When a subscription ends, the client can export platform data for 30 days, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Requests received through our forms are kept for up to 3 years after our last exchange. Applications received through our Careers page (résumés and contact details) are kept for up to one year, then deleted.

11Security

We apply reasonable security measures: encrypted communications (HTTPS), two-factor authentication, role-based access control, backups and logging. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we will notify the individuals concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the competent European authority, as applicable.

12Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can exercise the rights below by writing to info@gestion-traiteur.com. We reply within 30 days and may verify your identity.

  • access your information and obtain a copy, including in a structured, commonly used technological format;
  • have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • request its deletion or the de-indexing of certain information;
  • withdraw your consent, object to certain processing or request that it be restricted;
  • delete your mobile app account from the app or by writing to us;
  • file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the CNIL (France).

13Minors

The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect information about them. If you believe this has happened, contact us so we can delete it.

14Links to other sites

The Services may contain links to third-party sites. We do not control their practices; please review their privacy policies.

15Changes

We may change this policy. If we make a significant change, we will inform you by email or by a notice in the Services before it takes effect. The effective date appears at the top of this page.
