Caterer Manager
Integration

The Caterer Manager external API

Your data, in the tools you choose: your website, your accounting system, your dashboard or your AI assistant read your events, orders, invoices, payments and catalogue, read-only and limited to the permissions you grant. JSON API or MCP server, included in the Professionnel and Entreprise plans.

Updated October 4, 2026

What the integration does today

  • Your website, your accounting system, your in-house dashboard: your tools read your events, orders, invoices, payments and catalogue directly. No more double entry, no more manual exports.
  • 70 endpoints cover events, proposals, orders and invoices, payments and deposits, clients and companies, the product and material catalogue, venues and rooms, quote requests received through your store and account settings.
  • You stay in control. Each connected tool gets its own key and a precise list of permissions: events, orders, payments, clients, reports. It only sees what you allow, and you can remove access at any time.
  • Read-only by design. No external tool can create, change or delete anything in your account. It can, however, request your reports (invoice, BEO, today’s production, payment journal…) as PDF or Excel, generated on demand.
  • Your AI assistants too. The MCP server gives Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or your own assistant the same access as the API, with the same key and the same permissions: “Which events this week?”, “What is this client’s balance?”, “Prepare Saturday’s BEO”. You paste the key’s identifier and secret into your assistant, and it reads your account without ever changing anything.
  • Built for your developers and for AI coding assistants: complete documentation with real examples, an OpenAPI specification, a ready-to-use Postman collection and a guide to hand to a coding assistant as is, so it knows exactly what to call without inventing anything. A first integration takes less than an hour.

What flows

Events CM → your tool. Date, time, status, guests, venue, delivery or pickup, origin (office or online store).
Orders and invoices CM → your tool. Proposals, orders and invoices with their lines, taxes and totals; open invoices.
Payments CM → your tool. Payments received, deposit requests, event balances, receivables.
Clients and companies CM → your tool. Records and tags; business contact details only if you grant the permission.
Catalogue CM → your tool. Products, materials, categories, units, allergens, production zones, venues and rooms.
Reports On request from your tool. 26 reports: invoice, order, proposal, BEO, production lists, payment journal, client statement, receivables aging, sales by client and more, as PDF or Excel.
AI assistants Through MCP. Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or an in-house assistant ask the same questions as the API, one tool per endpoint, with the key’s permissions; a requested report reaches them through a link valid for 15 minutes.
Direction One way only: your tool reads, CM stays the source. Nothing is created or changed in CM.

What does not flow

  • No writing: an external tool cannot create a client, an event, an order or a payment in CM.
  • Sensitive information never leaves: purchase costs, wages, banking details, personal e-mails and phone numbers, on-site contact of an event.
  • Business contact details of clients and companies (e-mail, office phone, mobile, address) leave only with the “contacts” permission.
  • No real-time notification for now: your tool queries CM when it needs to, and can read only what changed since its last visit.

Plan and cost

Getting started

  1. 01 Write to us with the name of the tool or AI assistant to connect and what it needs to read.
  2. 02 We enable the external API on your account and create the key with the requested permissions. You receive its identifier and secret once: pass them to your developer through a secure channel, never by plain e-mail.
  3. 03 Your developer signs in to the documentation with that key: it only shows what the key can read, with ready-to-copy examples, the OpenAPI specification and the Postman collection.
  4. 04 To code with an AI assistant, hand it the guide provided by the documentation: a closed list of endpoints and the rules to follow, nothing to guess.
  5. 05 For an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot), add the address of CM’s MCP server as a connector, paste the key’s identifier and secret on the sign-in page, then authorize: the assistant sees exactly what the key allows.

Frequently asked questions

Can an external tool change my data?

No. The external API is read-only. The only action available is requesting a PDF or Excel report, if the key is allowed to.

Can I connect Claude or ChatGPT to my account?

Yes, through the MCP server, included with the external API. It gives your assistant one tool per endpoint, with the same key and the same permissions: it reads your events, orders, payments, clients and catalogue and can request a report, but never changes anything. Revoking the key cuts the connection at once.

Are my clients’ contact details shared?

Only if you grant the “contacts” permission, and only business details: organization e-mail, office phone, mobile and address. Personal e-mail and home phone never leave.

What if I change tools or vendors?

Ask us to revoke the key: the old tool loses access immediately. A new key is created for the new vendor, with its own permissions.

Is there a usage limit?

Yes: 60 requests per minute per key, API and MCP combined, which is plenty for a regular sync. The tool is told when it needs to slow down.

What can I do with it, concretely?

Show your upcoming events on your intranet. Send your invoices and payments to your accounting. Feed your CRM with your clients and their tags. Track your receivables in your dashboard. Ask your AI assistant for the week’s schedule or a client’s balance.
